How we score

Every quiz on this site works the same way, and none of it is random.

Answers carry points

Each answer gives points to one, two or three characters, based on what those characters actually do in the show, film or book. Add up your points and the character with the most is your result. The character with the second-highest total is your runner-up.

Every character can win, fairly

Before a quiz goes up, we run it tens of thousands of times with random answers. If any character comes up far more often than the rest, or almost never, we rebalance the questions. We also check that answering the way a character would, every time, really does give you that character.

Results come from canon

Each result lists two or three moments that show the trait it describes, by season and episode, film, or chapter. Where we are not certain of an exact episode, we name the season instead rather than guess. Sources listed on each quiz are official pages from the network, studio, streamer or publisher.

Player stats

When you finish a quiz, we add one to the count for your result. That is all we store: the quiz and the result, with no name and nothing that identifies you. We only show percentages once a quiz has at least 50 players, so early numbers don't mislead.

Comparing with friends

Your share link carries your first name (if you add one) and your result inside the link itself. When a friend plays from your link, their result joins the list. Nothing about the group is stored on our side.

Spoilers

Every quiz says what it covers and what it might spoil before you start. Share images and result headlines never give away twists, deaths or endings.

Corrections

If a result gets a character wrong, tell us and we will fix it and update the date on the quiz.
